In general, the kidney consists of several parts:
- Cortex, the part of the kidney in which there is / consists of corpus renal / Malpighi (glomerulus and Bowman's capsule), proximal convoluted tubules and the distal convoluted tubule.
- Medulla, which consists of 9-14 pyiramid. In it consists of the rectus tubule, loop of Henle and the collecting tubukus (ductus colligent).
- Columna renal cortex is part of the renal pyramids
- Processus renal, namely the pyramid / prominent medulla toward the cortex
- Renal hilum, which is a part / area where the blood vessels, nerve fibers or ducts enter / leave the kidney.
- Renal papilla, the part that connects the collecting duct and Calix minor.
- Calix minor, the major branches of Calix.
- Calix major, the branching of the renal pelvis.
- The renal pelvis, also called renal trophy, the part that connects the major Calix and ureter.
- Ureter, the tube that carries urine toward the urinary gallbladder.
